112,877 readers of the “auto motor und sport” magazine gave their votes for the election of the “Best Cars 2013” and chose the SEAT Alhambra for the third time in a row as the “Best import van”. Dr. Matthias Rabe, Member of the Board and Vice President of Research and Development at SEAT, accepted the award at the gala event in Stuttgart, handed over by Alexander Bloch, Head of Test and Technology at “auto motor und sport”.
The new SEAT Leon and the SEAT Ibiza also climbed the podium: each of them achieved the third rank in their class though the new SEAT León has only been on sale for a few weeks. This year there were 373 models in ten categories to choose from. Worldwide more than 216,000 readers from 17 countries participated in the vote.
“To win three times is an impressive demonstration of the superiority of the SEAT Alhambra,” said Dr. Matthias Rabe at the award show. “The popular SEAT wins people over with its excellent quality and flexible functionality. And certainly our outstanding price performance ratio also played a big role in the vote.”
Winning the vote of “Best Cars 2013” another time, the SEAT Alhambra continues an unprecedented winning streak since its market launch in late 2010: Most recently in November 2012 it won the “Auto Trophy”, the reader’s choice of the “Auto Zeitung” – as well the third time in a row. Previously, at the awards show “Company car of the year 2012” the Alhambra had been chosen as the winner of “Import Maxivan”; the year before it won the title award.
